Customer Review: Bob Marley is still King! I loved this collection so much that I purchased one for myself, my mother and a co-worker who loves Bob as much if not more than I do. Rock on!
Customer Review: Though not a perfect box set, Arkology qualifies as essential listening for roots reggae, dub, and Scratch fans. Mystical, frequently magical and highly experimentative, Perry's Black Ark period mananged to pull off a rare feat: in addition to producing hits like Junior Murvin's "Police and... more info
Customer Review: Despite the fact that some of the biggest names in reggae are missing (Lee "Scratch" Perry, Israel Vibrations, Alton Ellis, etc) this reggae box rules for two reasons: 1 - The song slection is pretty killer
2 - It acts as an excellent introduction to anyone looking to jump into reggae... more info
Customer Review: While this 3-disc set contains some of Marley's harder to find songs, The sound quality on these cd's are horrible and if i'm not mistaking, Some songs on here have been shortened! While i could care less if Marley's family sees any cash from this release or not, I would at least have appreciated... more info
Customer Review: I can't fathom the low-star reviews on this set. Maybe some people think Bob Marley only played reggae and are looking only for that specific sound. Actually, he went through the whole spectrum of ska, rocksteady, reggae, roots, etc. Some of my favorite work is from his ska and rocksteady periods.... more info

Customer Review: Mr. Perry has done his home work and he know how to put thing together. What I like most about this CD is Bob Marley's lost songs, never released. I also like his Documentary(DVD) The Unlimited Destruction. You'll get alot of info. from that. So enjoy. Out
Customer Review: I was only vaguely familiar with Rocksteady as a more modern Ska listener, but after listening to the Trojan Records Ska (vol. 1 & 2) and this compilation, I find this to be my favorite of the 3 compilations. You can hear the beginnings of modern reggae in these songs, and understand where Bob... more info
Customer Review: I tend to agree with many Marley fans that his Upsetter recordings have a raw power that gives them an artistic edge over the later Island recordings (which are themselves gems). This package provides the best available overview of these records, with superb sound quality. The music is simply... more info
