Customer Review: I'm really glad that I made this purchase, this CD brings me back to the 70's, and alot of good memories. I had forgotten how much I liked Neil Youngs songs, until I got this CD. On a warm spring or summer day, with the top down on the car.........this music makes the whole day seem complete.
Customer Review: Some great songs (Her Strut/Rock & Roll Never Forgets) some lame fillers. Seger's stuff is not on iTunes, so not being able to buy individual songs forces you to buy whole CD's-a strategy that maximizes Bob's net worth-not yours.
Customer Review: They dont call him the Boss for nothing. Bruce Springsteen makes great rock music for middle America. People are always going to complain that there are tracks missing, these people are true fans and probably already own all the albums...to this I say make your own greatest hits cds on your... more info
Customer Review: 3 1/2 There is no doubt at least some of this album achieves its classic rock status easily, but only the handful of songs, most of those already hits, stand out as truly masterful against lesser composed fare.
Customer Review: I first owned the three-record set and later purchased the CD. The songs were great but the production was murky. I recently purchased the remastered CD, hoping for better production. I was disappointed. Some songs sound great: I'd Have You Anytime, My Sweet Lord, If Not for You, Run of the Mill,... more info
Customer Review: Is Born in the U.S.A. too commercial? A sellout? No way! If you remember the 1980s like I do, the songs from Born in the U.S.A. (1984) were like lifelines to authentic rock n' roll on the radio for us die hard 1960-70s rockers. Sure, the album had an updated sound that now sort of makes it a product... more info
Customer Review: I've been a Neil Young fan since the day I first heard one of his songs, and this is one of the best records he's ever done. But I'm a fan of just about everything he's put out so... Anyway in my opinion this is one of his very best
Customer Review: While this collection includes most of Springsteen's classics, several important ones are missing (My Hometown, I'm On Fire, Better Days, Secret Garden, Waitin' On A Sunny Day). It does however include some songs from his first two albums, which I would not call "essential." If they are going to... more info
This is the first album I've bought by John Lennon, though I have bought albums by the Beatles beforehand (my favourite being "Magical mystery tour"). Purchasing a Lennon compilation was always going to be more likely than buying something by the other Beatle's solo works. That's because... more info
