Customer Review: I'm not sure what the demographics and qualifications of the consumer reviewers are on this site but I don't hold myself out as any more qualified. I will say, though, that I own almost everything Ryan Adams has released, from Whiskeytown on down. Like many "warm weather" fans, a number of the... more info
Customer Review: The title of this review probably sounds like I don't like Ryan Adams -- actually I do. I love albumns like "Gold" and "Cold Roses," songs like Dear John, Come Pick Me Up, etc. But I was always very aware that he was often (hopefully consciously) sounding eriely like the Dead, Graham Parsons, or... more info

Customer Review: Great double disc album! There's a nice balance of slow stuff and rockin' stuff, all good. It has a pretty classic Ryan Adams sound- edgy alt-country with a really well produced "live recording" sort of feel. Not at all like the "Rock 'n Roll" album, not as happy sounding as "Gold," a little more... more info
Customer Review: Heartbreaker by Ryan Adams ***** Heartbreaker, Ryan Adams very first solo album a alternative country album, Adams' all time best work. Think Wilco by way of Black Flag. Oddly enough the comparison isn't too far off, as Adams' chosen genre is one that feels open enough to bridge the extremely... more info
Customer Review: Excellent EP - These songs are great, and this EP is even better than Easy Tiger, which was released not too long before this. I'm a big Alice in Chains fan, so the cover of Down in a Hole was great for me. Every other song on the album is excellent, highly recommended.
Customer Review: I'll just say this is a seriously gorgeous album. If you didn't know, Ryan is capable of delivering some sublimely pretty vocals, and I think this aspect of his voice is best displayed on this album. I don't find "Love is Hell" depressing at all as some people have written. Instead, this is an... more info
Customer Review: I've owned this album for several years now and never tire of it; it's that good. Those who compare it (usually negatively) to Gold and Heartbreaker are missing some very strong stuff. In fact I have yet to find a weak track on it. I own a lot of Ryan's recordings now but this remains the first I... more info

Customer Review: This album is fantastic from start to finish. "Dear John"- The duet with Norah Jones that seems to be about a person coping with the death of their lover, with lyrics like: "Because your always mine,
to keep when your gone...
Two silver rings, ones on my finger
and the... more info
